With the tourist season in full swing, many shacks are encroaching upon beaches by putting out daybeds, tables and cabanas to attract tourists or increase capacity. As per license conditions a beach shack is permitted only 10 daybeds but owners brazenly flout rules with no fear of the law. Morning walkers and general users of the beach are greatly inconvenienced by this but the municipal authorities/ village panchayat seem to be least bothered about taking action. Where are the famed Goa police when we need them the most ?
