Bullying Maldives not behaviour of great nation

Bullying Maldives is India's latest gladiator sport, this is certainly not how strong nation's behave. Maldives may be small but the people are as proud of their country as we are of ours. They do not deserve to be penalised as a whole for indiscretions of their junior ministers. The social media bashing and otherwise of Maldives is being applauded as the evidence of the strength of Modi's 'New India', but it is actually a measure of it's weakness ; your strength is determined by the size of the adversaries you choose, and Maldives is a millionth of India's size. This is not the behaviour of a great nation, it is the conduct of a pathetically weak nation, a nation that is accustomed to lying to itself, a nation that searches for validation of it's unsupportable and patently false self image as a superpower by tormenting a micro state. This malevolent farce has ensured that Maldives is now firmly in the China camp. In a presser their President minced no words to decry India's actions by stating, "We may be small but that doesn't give you a license to bully us." He asserted that the Indian Ocean does not belong to any country and Maldives has one of the biggest shares of the ocean referring to the exclusive economic zone of @ 900,000 sq km enjoyed by the country. Modi has done precious little to douse the flames, infact his damming silence on the matter is  proof of his acquiesce to brute bullying.
