It is reported that the Central government is in the process of banning the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the process is said to be almost complete.
Evidence is emerging that this is the same organisation behind the attacks on Ram Navami processions at some places. Against this background, the government is preparing to ban this organisation. PFI has been already banned in some States.
According to reports, the Union Home Ministry has enough evidence to ban PFI. This organisation is also alleged to have been involved in terrorist attacks, religious fanaticism, forceful religious conversion etc.
India is developing country and is an emerging economic power. Organisations that foment trouble or carry out activities that affect the social fabric of the country should be banned forthright.
