On most occasions, garbage including plastic bags and empty plastic bottles has been noticed inside the drain situated adjacent to the entrance gate at the premises of the sub-district hospital at Tisk in Ponda.
The same remains uncleared for long and the situation tends to be an eyesore for public at large visiting here in large numbers throughout the day.
Recently plastic bags and empty plastic bottles were noticed inside this drain. It is often said that cleanliness is next to godliness. Hence it is absolutely necessary that the above drain is cleared on regular basis so that it appears neat and tidy.
Such a step would go a long way in achieving the basis of ‘Swachcha Goa Mission’. Let us hope that the senior officials at the concerned competent authority would initiate prompt positive action in this important matter without any further delay.
Persons found dumping waste material inside the drain should be levied cash fines so that this undesirable practice ends on a permanent basis. Of course, drains situated at different locations should be kept clean and tidy.
