For the last many years, Goans have been migrating to foreign countries in search of jobs. That is understandable. But when elected members of the grassroot bodies shun their responsibility and migrate abroad raises questions.
I understand that in the last 2 terms, 3 panch members of the Colva panchayat migrated to the UK/USA more than 6 months before their term ended.
Should the government not investigate these panchas just to make sure there were no corruption/malpractices to maximize anyone’s personal wealth before migration to foreign countries?
