When I was passing by the Miramar circle on the way to Panaji, I saw a GSIDC contractor with 10 workers trying to lift drain covers which were just fixed by another contractor few months back. It starts from the circle and passes via triangular carpet where a plastic 'palu' fish is displayed which joins the main drain duct near the temple. I asked this contractor why he is opening these covers. He told me he was asked by his boss to inspect the fault in a cable which was laid underground some time ago prior to asphalting and now they are trying to connect a camera which is installed opposite to Foodland. I told him to please verify from GSIDC or any other boss first whether really he wants to open the triangular carpet where plastic fish is displayed because he is going to mess up everything if the fault is not detected. He was confused and got feedback from his boss over the phone to stop the work. You see the GSIDC has so many contractors who get the orders without knowing the area well and thus they keep on damaging the city.
