Curb water crises

A vivid picture of Goa is that it’s a popular tourist destination on the global map. Nevertheless, the disconcerting incident is that the State is undergoing a spell of water crises. Furthermore, as it is learnt through certain media outlets that some regions in Goa are running dry due to a lack of water supply from the State. Subsequently, the rivers are polluted due to industrial discharge, thus making matters worse for the local populace. Sadly, the water is deemed as unfit for human consumption. Evidently, it also sounds as if the villagers of Goa have to drink soda if they are lacking water.

However, it’s of paramount importance that the local populace should be provided with potable water for drinking, and also for their domestic use. Eventually, the authorities concerned should deal with the water shortage issue and come out with a concrete solution to the earliest.

A school in Velsao reportedly fell victim to burglary on Thursday, with perpetrators making off with cash and goods valued at Rs.70,000. This is the second burglary targeting a school in Mormugao talks within three days. On Sunday burglars broke into the office of St. Theresa school at Mangor in Vasco and stole Rupees one lakh in cash.
