And now, this incident of a 25-year old passenger trying to open the door of the plane in-flight and behaving in a violent, unruly manner is cause for concern. How do we put an end to such incidents on board, one wonders. The airlines can of course, stop providing hard drinks on board but peeing and trying to open the doors in-flight seems beyond one’s understanding.
While physically screening passengers perhaps, the airport personnel would now have to resort to mental, psychological screening of passengers to ensure that they are fit to travel by air. How else can one prevent such incidents otherwise? According to the new report, this passenger who tried to open the aircraft door, was ‘mentally upset’. The airport & airline authorities sure have a tough task ahead of them.
