Dengue is back to trouble Gauravaddo residents

Dengue epidemic once again will come to haunt the residents of Gauravaddo (East) Calangute. Seniors citizens with health issues and depleting immunity can no longer afford to stay silent on the matter. Earlier on, senior citizens had drawn the attention of Public Health Officer, Primary Health Centre and  Sarpanch of Calangute Village ,  in writing with photographs. Sadly , till date no positive action has come out to resolve the issue in connection with the deplorable condition of storm rainwater drains  despite the Minister for Panchayat giving tall promises at Janata Darbar held at Calangute Panchayat Hall  on March 5.  The citizens of Gauravaddo also  have already addressed several communications  to the Panchayat and to the Health Officer  to act urgently in order to protect the health of senior citizens . The main cause of rise in dengue fever is due to  stagnated  drains with rain water compounded with sewage, garbage  and waste  water discharge by the hotels that have come up along the drains  at Gauravaddo (East) which  needs immediate attention by the Calangute Panchayat   in the interest of public health.
