Many people ask me why I am so pessimist about the garbage, roads, high rise illegal constructions and bad tourists ruining our beloved beaches and dirtying the footpaths by cooking using gas cylinders and leaving food remnants on the streets of Panaji?
Just yesterday I have seen BSNL engineers, supervisors and workers repairing their cables whole day even in the night to do splicing of their cables which have been damaged by another party of the government. They told me their complaints are not accepted as they are partners from other group and suggested to bypass the connection and find out other routing. This incident has taken place near a wine shop in Dona Paula going to Sagar Society. Earlier a huge cable from Electricity department was routed to their mini substation opposite to Joe Matias building which they will now tap from this sub station which is nearby.
The authorities say PWD and CCP have vast interest to oblige these owners of new constructions going on in the city instead of attending on war footing the inconvenience faced by Panjimites and the public at large.
The photo which I clicked was of stretch of road near Navrath wine stores on the main road of Bambolim-Dona Paula as they are in the process of checking 4 metres dug up road in order to perform splicing on the cable which was faulty. Our all BSNL connections are off as none of telephones are working in whole Dona Paula area as all BSNL cables have been cut and destroyed completely on account of full fledged digging still going on everywhere including in front of my house.
