Discourage 'nuisance tourists' from coming to Goa

Goa needs to attract quality tourists by making their stay as comfortable, enjoyable and affordable as possible. At the same time Goa needs to discourage "nuisance tourists" who are a burden on the infrastructure of the state and who do not contribute anything to the economy of the State.

Such tourists come in buses or vans with their own gas cylinders to cook food. Transporting cylinders is illegal and hazardous.

The authorities must come down with a heavy hand on such nuisance tourists. I suggest that the authorities must have a dedicated PCR van to attend to complaints of tourists cooking in fields or alongside roads.

The authorities must impound the cylinders, and the driver of the vehicle must be booked for transporting banned items. The van too must be taken to the police station and not released for 3 days.

This will compel the tourists to book into a hotel for the reminder of their stay. It will gradually discourage nuisance tourists from coming to Goa for a cheap holiday.
