With the Assembly elections approaching, political parties in the State have been making different promises and are all set to offer various benefits to the citizens in order to lure for votes.
Accordingly, the State government has introduced ‘Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yatra Yojana’ for senior citizens. Accordingly, on December 1, 2000 senior citizens consisting of two teams will proceed on a free pilgrimage tour of six days.
One team of 1000 pilgrims will visit Shirdi and the other to Vailankani. The entire food and conveyance expenses will be borne by the government.
Of course, a huge amount of Rs 1.5 crore will be spent on each tour of 1000 pilgrims. Senior citizens in the State may very well avail the benefit of above pilgrimage tour.
However, while casting their valuable votes, they should do it wisely and not fall a prey to any political party that ought to lure them for securing their votes in order to come to power.
Only those candidates must be voted and brought to power who would be able to assure efficient administration and achieve progress on different fronts.
The state of Goa certainly needs a ‘parivartan’ and hence promising candidates who would provide their maximum best should be given a chance to run the state administration.
