Double whammy for beleaguered husband


Apropos to the news report ‘Man struck with wife’s suicide, his accident’ in The Goan Everyday February 21, 2022.

Who can understand the plight of a grief stricken husband who has just seen the dead body of his wife hanging from the ceiling? A beleaguered husband Nagesh must have felt his world turning upside down in the blink of an eye.

When wife dies under mysterious circumstances or commits suicide, the needle of suspicion automatically points towards husband. What could have been Nagesh’s state of his mind? He must have suffered from panic attacks. 

My heart goes out to Nagesh. Please do not end life. Seek counsel. The dear ones bear the brunt when family members take the extreme step of committing suicides.
