Goa is yet to come to terms with the untimely demise of young, famous, affable, low-key and caring cardiologist Dr Manjunath Desai who possessed a healing touch that gave fresh leases of lives to countless patients battling death following heart attacks.
Dr Manjunath Desai's motto was to serve all without discrimination. He never saw the social or financial backgrounds of his patients. He tirelessly worked to cure his patients and put smiles on the faces of their caregivers and relatives.
Dr Manjunath Desai was a rare breed of doctor who put duty above everything else. They do not make them like Dr Manjunath Desai anymore. He continues to live on in our hearts and collective memory of Goa. May his soul rest in peace.
