The Chandor Cavorim village market's drainage system is fully filled with mud and other materials like plastic bags and plastic bottles which the village panchayat has to clean and clear before the monsoon season starts to avoid flooding in the rain. Most of the drainage system needs maintenance work as broken, concrete blocks have fallen in the drainage, dry palm leaves and other materials thrown in the drainage system which should be cleared as soon as possible. Mud is obstructing the flow of water leading to water logging and potentially impacting sanitation and health. Even the chicken waste from the market area are thrown in the paddy fields near the Alma Khuris from which emanates a horrible smell. The secretary of village panchayat talks with the people as if they are servile to him but he has to realise that he is a public servant and complete works that will benefit the people.
