An innocent 57-year-old Goan lady was killed on the spot when a Pune native who was said to be in a fully intoxicated state at the time of this incident and who now has been booked/arrested for committing culpable homicide not amounting to murder drove his car at top speed into the premises of the victim's resort at Vagator and knocked her down thereby killing her instantly. Well, the one thing I know about most domestic tourists is that they come here to consume cheap alcohol, to do drugs, to attend late night rave parties, to roam around like roadside vagabonds and to create nuisance for Goans on most of our roads. They think that Goa is a lawless state and due to which they can openly do and get away with almost anything after paying a small bribe to the cops. I think that the authorities should take a serious note of the facts and not just impose hefty fines/cancel driving licenses of all such domestic tourists who are found indulging in drunken driving and killing of innocents but should also put them behind bars for at least six months.
