I am very glad to know that the Supreme Court has brought in a law governing appointments over the functioning to the Election Commission of India as it’s my personal opinion that the ECI should never be made by the Executive.
If it continues there is possibility of people loosing faith in elections.Questions have been raised over the functioning of the ECI. No matter which ruling party was at the helm of affairs, the ECI has always been lenient towards it. I am waiting for the day when the ECI chides any ruling party for wrong doings during elections. If this happens, it will be it will be a healthy sign for a democracy for our country.
