Action needed against those attacking minorities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen visiting the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church in New Delhi this year on the occasion of Easter and greeting some priests and the faithful by even taking some photographs along with them. It is a matter of fact that incidents of violence against Christians have indeed increased from little over 100 in 2014 to 600 by the end of 2022, according to UCF toll free helpline (No: 1800-208-4545) service. And this year alone in 2023, we have already witnessed 200 incidents in first 100 days.

The SC too has taken a serious note of the above mentioned fact and due to which has been repeatedly asking for details of violence against Christians across India from the government since September 1, 2022. Unfortunately, the Modi government has been deliberately refusing to give any details so far and seeking only extensions. I think that if PM Modi wants to impress the international community then he should take strong action against those who are habitually well-known for abusing the minorities.
