Goa is a popular tourist destination and has also become the entertainment destination, thanks to the Tourism Department and business organisations for commercializing Christmas, New Year and other festivals.
Owing to this there is heavy rush of tourists in Goa during the last week of December and the first week of January even though the travel and hospitality cost at this time is high.
As much as the shows and programmes organized in Goa are entertaining, the risk of accidents and death here is high during this time since tourists are found to go berserk, drive and swim after drinking and also consume drugs.
Tourists who come to Goa should exercise caution and travel cautiously in vehicles than be taken to hospital in ambulances.
