There are a number of food stalls and stalls selling fruit, clothes and other necessary items near Goa Medical College, Bambolim. I have noticed that a few legal requirements are not followed like there is no notice board specifying the price of items kept for sale. Most people in times of emergency purchase the item required by paying extra. The relatives often carry fruit for their sick relatives and family members however there is no check on the quality of fruit sold just outside Goa's premier health facility. I would suggest the Food and Drugs Administration keep regular check on the quality of food items sold. Also the price of food items has to be rationalized. Like for example a cup of tea is sold for Rs 13 which is difficult to pay due to lack of change. Every service provider must be accountable for keeping the space in a hygienic manner. There is a need to allot space to taxi operators, space need to be allocated to patients' relatives. If required pay parking could be imposed to avoid the problem of some persons parking vehicles for long period of time.
