Tourists flock and return to places where they get their money's worth in all avenues /sectors dished out to them. For high-end tourism to survive, sustain and succeed we need good services. Such tourists like a peaceful and clean environment.
Polluting activities need to be curbed and upcoming development in the State needs to be properly planned so that there is no wastage of resources.
The public infrastructure needs to be upgraded. A few days back the alleged audacious plantings of fictitious parcels containing suspected drugs on the bagages of tourists, should be dealt with severely.
Such crimes which came to the notice of foreign authorities led to a precautionary circular being sent by the foreign missions to their nationals while holidaying on secluded spots and to beware of threats, is indeed shameful.
These things can be avoided if the Tourism Minister does a thorough research in his domain with periodic surveys for deficiencies and acts on fixing them speedily.
