The flooding is clearly visible and getting worse all over Goa every monsoon ! It is well known that the mindless destruction of Goa i.e. filling low lying areas/fields, hill cutting, damage/closure of drains, destructive development (railways, road development) with no seriousness given to environmental safeguards/concerns etc is the cause of all this flooding. And what is worse. is that the Goa government not only seems to be "deliberately" blind to all of this but also particularly the TCP ministry with the blessing of the Chief Minister is on the fast track to destroy Goa even further, with all their recent land use amendments, new legislations and the section 17/2 of the TCP Act. So much land is being converted from natural cover, hills/water bodies being destroyed only to favour a couple of "rich money bags" from outside Goa! Can Goans not see the "writing on the wall" as to where all this destruction by the corrupt govt and corrupt panchayat/municipal bodies are leading Goa to?
