The monsoon is here and it is pouring and it is off-season for fishing in Goa. The local fishermen in Goa venture into the sea to cast their nets in the traditional style of fishing with large nets without boats. The people are watching them pulling their nets together with different sizes and types of fish on the sea shore. One feels proud of our hard working fishermen of Goa and happy to see the fresh catch of the day. The fishermen catch the fish early in the morning and late in the evening. They net fish for themselves but if they catch more than they need, they sell to Goans because they know that Goans' favourite is fish curry rice and without fish fry, we Goans feel the food is incomplete.
