Good news for Goa

Huge victory for Goa as NTCA denies nod for Kalasa project - The Goan Everyday - February 10, 2024. That was some piece of good news for environmentalists and the public in general, when the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) rejected the demand of the Government of Karnataka for the diversion of 26.96 hectares of forest land for the implementation of the Kalasa-Bhandura water diversion project.  

One fails to understand why we are so eager to destroy Nature and invite Nature’s wrath upon ourselves. Past incidents of Nature hitting back do seem to bother us. Every time Nature hits back, the message is clear: stop playing with Nature, as it can only lead to disaster! This message is for both the authorities and the complacent general public.

On tinted windows of vehicles

Recently, there was an issue raised in the assembly regarding tinted glass vehicles on the road. The ministers objected to tinted glass on the windows of high-end cars used by the sons and daughters of big businessmen and MLAs too.
