The late Manohar Parrikar during his tenure had formed the government within a day when he had absolutely no majority. He engineered defections and poached on gullible MLAs with allurements.
Today, when BJP has a clear, undisputed majority, the party is propagating unscientific belief of auspicious days. There is uneasiness among the newly-elected MLAs although it is not visible.
The elections were held under the leadership of incumbent Pramod, whose rise and selection as the CM was a bolt from the blue for BJP members who swallowed the bait as the chosen one by Parikar.
There are many BJP leaders waiting in the wings. The High Command prevails just as in the case of Congress. The culture of Congress is adopted by BJP too. Although there are rumblings and posturing among the elected members and rightly so, but in the end all will meekly surrender to the diktats of the high command.
The humility and obedience of present CM has already won him the vote of high command. The arrogance and boisterousness of some in the BJP will not be rewarded.
Surely, Bhivpachi garaz na, as BJP will soon form the government. Also, Pramod Sawant has given enough indications of taking everyone along in the formation of the new government.
