The Goa Government and BJP president’s claim that the Police are doing their job in Rama’s assault case is false. The Police failed even before the brutal attack happened. Rama had complained many times that certain people were threatening him and had even assaulted him earlier. If the Police had taken preventive steps then, this latest attack could have been avoided. The Home Ministry should have taken action against the Police officers responsible for not acting on those earlier threats and attacks. Where is the accountability of the Police or the Goa Home Minister?
