It's been reported in the press that apparently the captains of Industry -- GSIA -- has had the vision, wisdom and the courage to openly come out and oppose the three controversial infra projects.
Apparently, as reported, GSIA has given a categorical thumbs down, and a big ‘no’ for the double tracking project. GSAI is also against the environmental damage that would be caused by the power project going through to the Mollem forest reserve.
GSIA apparently has rightly said that, under the name of development, we should not destroy the culture, the heritage and the natural beauty of the State.
A local television channel has been telecasting recorded video evidence that the previous CM had categorically ruled out double tracking, while the present administration reportedly steadfastly denies the same.
Therefore it's very difficult to understand why the present regime seems hell bent on promoting these controversial projects.
One can only hope and pray that wisdom will prevail and the voice of the people in a democracy is heeded to.
