What has been common knowledge for so many governments ( present and past) in Goa is now becoming even more brazen under the current BJP rule in Goa. When taxi drivers protest the Goa government collects records on earlier offences and tries to blackmail the taxi drivers by targeting their leader, when locals at Velsao led by sarpanch oppose the railways encroachment and illegal works the Goa police are used by respective minister to file an FIR against the Velsao Sarpanch, when Cecille Rodrigues from Taleigao files a assault complaint against Taleigao MLA with a track record of riots, attacks, criminal activities including the attack on Panaji police station, the Goa Police (ignore Cecille’s complaint) and instead files FIR against Cecille at behest of the Taleigao MLA, accomplices. All these can’t be done without the blessings of Goa Home Minister and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Looks like the Goa BJP Govt has a harassment dept in place to harass all those who challenge their corrupt/destructive ministers and MLAs.
