This is with reference to the report, "Born deaf, this rights champion fights for equality & dignity off hearing-impaired - The Goan Everyday - June 3, 2025." That was an informative, heartwarming piece on the achievements of a deaf young man, Justine Fernandes. One would think that such handicapped persons can hardly be successful in life. But, Justine has proved that no handicap is too big if one has the determination and the will to achieve great things in life. As one who has siblings who are deaf-mute, I know what potential, what skills such persons possess -- carpentry, drawing, painting, electrical, organizing events, the list can go on. And I'm happy to be part of their activities. Justine on his part, must be complimented and appreciated for his achievements and his concern and fight for equality and dignity of the hearing-impaired. My best wishes are with him.
