Nobody has done any research into these gutter covers. Only it looks that few Panjimites are interested. Even ex Mayors none of them took any interest to get the gutters operational and in fact the passage of rain water going to river Mandovi is still blocked. CCP is yet to open their eyes. I feel the present Commissioner is trying to issue notices to the authorities and also sending letters to Panjimites even I received about his action. Earlier I have informed him near Casino Pride opposite Rio Bar one metallic structure like a pandal was coming up as extension to the jetty and even a parapet or a compound wall at the entrance of this structure was demolished to get access to this illegal structure. The present Commissioner Madeira has put a warning in newspaper that this structure must be demolished as it is illegal. Nobody has bothered on the contrary additional extension is made and more casinos have started docking.
