Half-hearted lockdown not good enough

The whole world has come together as one to extend a helping hand to India which is on ventilator from the dreaded second wave of Covid-19. 

Once touted as the pharmacy to the world, is now at the receiving end of nations for vaccines, ventilators and associated equipment from across the globe to save precious lives from reaching the over saturated crematoriums.

The situation is so grim that 350,000 new infections and more than 3,000 deaths are reported on a daily basis. The autocratic rule of a single incapable leader who has emerged as a super spreader by holding big political rallies in poll-bound States and Kumbh Mela will lead the country to anarchy.

In a related incident the Goa government has imposed a half-hearted week-end lockdown which sounds more like a honeymoon package of 3 days and 4 nights in a starred hotel with check-in on Friday and check out on Monday.
