Authorities in our country and many across the world are still struggling to administer the first dose of the Corona vaccine.
The vaccine was offered in stages to various sections of society -- frontline healthcare personnel, senior citizens, 45+ age group and so on.
We are still a long way in administering the first dose to all sections of people. And, many are still recovering from the terrible side effects, long after having taken the first shot. Will they now take the second dose of the vaccine?
In the meanwhile, however, comes this news report of a third dose that could be required to gain complete immunity against Covid.
According to the CEO of Pfizer, Albert Bourla, people will likely need a third dose of the Covid-19 shot within six to 12 months of vaccination besides regular and annual vaccinations against the coronavirus.
There are also messages floating around that this coronavirus is a long term programme extending upto 2025!
What does the common man make of it all? One cannot blame him if he even fears a deep rooted conspiracy somewhere with vested interests. The sword of uncertainty hangs in the air.
