It is becoming clearing evident that the BJP's sole priority is to convert as much as possible of Goa’s green areas including trees, water bodies, hills, fields, etc under the garb of development. The latest “assault” in my view is with the prized land from the Loliem-Pollem comunidade! The government fails terribly new developments and we are witnessing so many negative effects including flooding, sewage, garbage, pollution, crime etc. Smart City Panaji is just one of many examples. Even existing infrastructure including hospitals, food markets, govt offices etc is very poorly maintained and in substandard state, without any maintenance and proper up-keep! So all this excuse of new development for benefit of people is just a poor excuse ! Not to mention Goa is heating up and water resources dwindling on account of all this “mindless” destructive development! This land at Loliem-Pollem has be kept for posterity and people should not let it go for concretisation which in my view is for the huge monetary benefit of the ruling party coffers, ministers and ruling MLAs.
