Kapil Sibal's exit from Cong is not a political earthquake

Kapil Sibal's  exit due to his disagreement with Congress leadership change is not a earthquake or a mild tremor   recorded  on the Ritcher  scale. Sibal may have been an expert legal adviser but he reaped dividends due to being a political  figure. His esteem was largely due to posts he occupied  in the Congress  party.  He could have agreed to disagree and worked to strengthen the party. Remember those that broke away from Congress due to Indira have been cast into waste paper basket and political oblivion. Only Pawar is helping keep afloat Congress but his split was due to political survival. Sibal is not a popular vote getter. In fact he was not even considered for any significant  campaign management. The change of parties under guise of dissent embracing diverse  ideologies  is a personal glorification of self. Sibal was in political wilderness and hence his self defence of change of leadership. He has not risen from grass roots but from political patronage.  Sibal has ensured his political revival survival for time being but one wonders what asset he is to SP. Good luck to Sibal and may his tribe of opportunists  decrease.
