In Karnataka it seems like all politicians are corrupt and they compete with each other on corruption and with trying to expose how corrupt their opponents are. These comments are being made in the context of the Dy CM DK Shivakumar threatening the JD (S) supremo HD Kumaraswamy saying that if he continues going after CM Siddaramiah on the MUDA land scam, he will expose Kumaraswamy's land deals in and around Bengaluru done under benami names. By the way Shivakumar himself is facing a number of court cases for disproptionate assets and corruption. Even earlier the BJP governments headed by BS Yediyurappa and then Basavaraj Bommai were tainted with the epithet of '40% government'. Since then Yediyurappa has been booked in a POCSO case of raping a minor girl in his home in Bengaluru. And the JD(S)'s ruling family has been rocked by the accusation of rape and kidnapping of multiple women in Hassan. Apparently there is no wrongdoing in the MUDA issue since Siddaramiah's wife was given alternate land for her land that was acquired by the Authority. Thus at most it may be a process issue that is being orchestrated for political gains.
