It has been learned that the Goa government has provided KTC services to the people of Karnataka. The Karnataka elections are on May 10, and many meetings are being held in various places in the State. The buses are provided in return for a certain amount, and many school buses that are not in use due to summer holidays are being used for the people of Karnataka on their demand. According to the KTC chairman, this adjustment has not affected local bus services and has accommodated buses to ply on Goan routes.
The move to send the buses from Goa has faced some opposition, mainly because many villages are facing connectivity issues. More buses need to be deployed in the villages of the State to improve the transport situation. The focus should also be on improving the situation in the State while lending our large neighbour a helping hand.
