K’taka results a shocker for the saffron brigade

The Karnataka election results has shocked the BJP at the Centre and the State level, not to mention even leaders in our Goa, who had campaigned in Karnataka, must have been surprised over the outcome.

Kannadigas have spoken through the ballot and decisively shown that they are not interested in politics of divide and rule.

Union Minister Amit Shah’s promise of resolving the vexed Mhadei issue after the polls also did not pay off. The common man was also fed up with rising inflation and increase in taxes.

Back home, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, other ministers and BJP leaders who had campaigned in Karnataka also failed to win the hearts of the people.

The government’s plan of a paid holiday for Kannadigas in Goa and the promise of sending KTC buses to Karnataka also did not click.

The people of Karnataka have decisively spoken through the ballot and have shown that they cannot be fooled all the time.
