World with all its spell binding entertainments in the music industry will go on with or without a restrictive and prohibitive ban on sounds. Tourists visit Goa mainly for its night life listening to music being dished out also consuming branded liquors, water sports, sight seeing and other night activities . Goa being a renowned tourist destination , and it's needless to say that all this economic growth will come to a grinding halt, along with a host of other activities in the tourism sector.This will deteorate and fade away and be a thing of the past in the absence of music and sound systems .
After effects are enormous. Tourism generates a GDP of around 5.9 % .and a diminished prospect on earnings of GST on total sales of products over all night shows, events, food, reduced volumes in air travels and allied transportation market , excise on cars and fuels etc will reduce revenues by a whopping 60% on sales , and a 5.9% reduction in GDP , portraying a very subdued and recessionary type of economy in a very regressive outlook mode.
The authorities and other stakeholders need to apply extraordinary restraint dealing with this component of curtailing night life, by stifling sound waves in the tourism based sector. Well developed economies have a thriving night life with an array of sound systems which bellow music of varying intensity all enhancing tourism on a larger scale there by inducing a higher growth in their economic footfalls, with a robust outlook at exorbitant levels related to underlying macro economics .
Sustenance of a high growth curve in a 5 trillion economy will require all sectors to function optimally like a well oiled engine ,one of which is the tourism sector. With the Centre embarking ,or striving hard towards that goal by developing modern infrastructure like bridges, roads, new airports is to spur economic growth to a higher level, it will need all sectors to function efficiently well with a robust economic growth. Let Goa move forward and not be left behind in its quest of fulfilling its dream as well as the Centre's aspirations of a high growth economy with ambitious strides in its fiscal prudence and budget fulfillment.
