Let's play safe with this virus rather than be sorry

This is with reference to the report, "XE scare in Mumbai ... - The Goan Everyday April 7, 2022."

Just when we thought the pandemic was coming to an end and things have started to open up all across the country, comes this disturbing piece of news of a new variant - the XE variant, being found in Mumbai. In Maharashtra, the government had relaxed the use of masks only a couple of days back. Although it is not mandatory to wear masks it would be prudent however, to continue wearing them for some more time, for our own protection, irrespective of whether we are in Mumbai or Goa or wherever. It seems like we are not going to see the end of the coronavirus, just yet. It is going to be with us for a longer period of time, just like the hike in fuel prices which occurs every other day. There is no easy escape. So, let's play safe rather than be sorry. And if you cannot afford the fuel, just use your own two feet, while you can!
