It was indeed unfortunate that a drunk driver mowed down 3 innocent people near Banastarim bridge. A fully drunk driver who might not have seen anything beyond 2 feet, tragically snuffed out the lives of three people. A 2.5 tonne Mercedes monster which this drunken zombie was driving was not sensitive enough to care for precious human lives. The government should ban such drivers. Hit-and-run cases are on the rise , public need walking space either on pavements or much broader roads , who then are subjected to invasion of by motorists to dodge potholes and the likes. These deadly accidents are exacerbated by drunkards who freak out carelessly with cars on a busy road subjecting the innocent public to their rabid fury. Obtaining a driving licence should be with stringent tests wherein a subject of total ban on drinking alcohol should be introduced for obtaining a licence . Cancellation of a licence for such violation should be a must to improve safety standards. Imposing a meagre fine can't be compared to the loss of life and property as witnessed in this accident .
