Local news channels and sensationalisation

A couple of local news channels of late are seen trying to instigate Goans on religious lines by continuously bringing half-baked reports/stories of some isolated stray incidents from around the state and giving too much importance to the antics of some self-styled activists belonging to right-wing organizations to increase their own TRP ratings in Goa.

Recently, these same news channels were seen giving free publicity to activists of a right wing group and somehow trying to malign the image of the entire Christian community (especially of all Goan Catholics) in the state by mischievously claiming/showing in a report on how the activists of the above group had managed to save a non-Goan couple from being forcibly converted by two ladies from Taleigao by filing an FIR against them at the Old Goa police station after being approached by the complainant couple in Goa.

I think that the Goa police should not just investigate the two ladies who have been named in the FIRs but also the activists and the reporters of all these news channels as well to bring out the whole actual truth.
