Portuguese legacy is a treasure

The unique identity that makes Goa stand out with respect to the entire India has been made as an indelible imprint on Goa”a legacy that the Portuguese should be credited with, a trait that has received international acclaim from people worldwide. The focal point on which the magical magnetism that Goa holds has led to the spellbinding allure of this Rome of the East and this verdant abode which attracts one and all.

Remove the Portuguese influence, and tourists from abroad, in particular, will cease from coming to Goa. The Portuguese have left a treasure trove of iconic and resplendent monuments in Old Goa in ornate Renaissance architectural genres that have influences of the Ionic, Doric, Corinthian, and Composite world-renowned monuments which will never be replicated in the future and are world-famous and valuable assets to Goa. Every tourist also makes it a point to visit the various forts that the Portuguese built during their reign in Goa.
