Mapusa bus stand needs makeover

Mapusa is one of the most busy and also a famous market in North Goa. The bus stand too is a busy area as a lot of interstate buses enter the city and being in close proximity to each other there is lot of disturbance in smooth flow of traffic.

The bus stand is in such a position that there is flow of traffic on four sides as private vehicles and two-wheelers enter the bus stand for their daily shopping and then head to the fruit yard.

In view of this, there should be proper traffic flow from the entrance of the city to the bus stand.

Mapusa municipality should prevent two-wheelers entering bus stand from all four sides. There should be no parking inside bus stand for four-wheelers and tow-wheelers near the public toilet.

There should also be proper parking for city buses which are often parked in haphazard manner. The newly-elected MLA should take time to visit the place and improve the condition of the bus stand.
