More dumping grounds being generated in Margao

The SGPDA has been overseeing the north side of the fish market as a permanent place for dumping rotten fish, plastic baskets, thermocol and other left overs with no concern to the environment or health of public visiting daily who have been forced to wear masks. The eastern side is on the verge of being another dumping ground.  The southern side had an open area and was used for parking buses and heavy vehicles till  PM Narendra Modi's recent visit but now had been made a dumping ground for cut trees, vegetation, etc. The authorities have not to suffer from unbearable odour emanating all around the market as meetings are held in closed air conditioned rooms. The chairman and the members are least bothered to inspect the area periodically so long as allowances and treats are assured. The local MLA is too busy and has left such issues to wind. The area gets a facelift only at the time of visit of central ministers as open areas on western side get tarred. Do we have to wait till such time or for the concerned minister to intervene to initiate action?
