Is Goa turning into a murder hub? Murder atrocities of several kinds, in a small State like Goa, are always the talk of the town. This nefarious trend has left the government/authorities grappling. However, the local dailies are flooded with news of murder implicated as cylinder blast, beach drowning murder, but implicated as death met by watery grave, mother killing her four-year-old son, and many more just to name a few.
Unfortunately, the recent murder of a 70-year-old woman found in a pool of blood, at Vasco, is a sad plight. Where are we heading to? The civilised society is getting transformed into a wild one. Subsequently, the morals in society are getting degraded gradually with no accountability.
However, it’s a fairly predictable fact that we, as responsible citizens, should be on high alert by keeping a wise check in our vicinity. Moreover, as usual, the educational institutions also ought to act like the torchbearers by imbibing virtues into the minds of the children. Henceforth, getting them transformed into responsible citizens.
