After visiting Ayodhya, the Prime Minister came to Goa to unveil a 77-foot statue of Sri Ram, said to be the tallest in Asia. Partagal Math has a 550-year history, and Goa is fortunate to have this impressive statue of Sri Ram, who is honoured in Hindu tradition as a polite and obedient son of King Dasharath.
This bronze statue is expected to become a major attraction for visitors to the State. It is also special that it was unveiled by the Prime Minister on an auspicious occasion. The Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math has branches in Karnataka, Goa and other parts of India, and is known for its unique religious identity. Such maths, built by our ancestors, reflect deep spiritual tradition.
