We Goans are not only foolish, but selfish too. Want allcomforts and facilities, but at the same time we oppose beneficial projects.Take the case of Bainguinim garbage plant project. Years ago, before finalisingthis project, all concerned were taken into confidence and only then it wascleared. Then, why the mob mentality tactics now?
People keep pinpointing the garbage stink in the Tiswadiarea, but yet continue to play dirty politics over the plant. People who haveraised this muck should be booked for causing unrest and coming in the way ofapproved public facilities. Let us not become a laughing stock. Wake upGoenkara, wake up. The not-in-my-backyard (NIMBY) syndrome will take usnowhere.
