It has been seen that four-wheelers, etc are parked in no parking zone during peak hours. The local cultivators are selling their produce of vegetables, fruits and other items and earning their livelihood after toiling for the whole day. One side of the road opposite Margao Police Station is earmarked for them to carry their business and other side is permanent ‘No Parking’ zone to avoid traffic chaos especially during the day hours on this two-way stretch. It is unfortunate to find enforcing agencies parking vehicles in busy hours and therefore the public cannot be blamed for following suit. The towing squad is conveniently not available. This is adding to the woes of the public due to severe traffic congestion in the city. Will there be action to deter such instances? It is hoped the concerned authorities will wake up and set an example and enforce traffic discipline.
