Notify area around Mhadei Sanctuary as tiger reserve

The NGO Goa Foundation has finally  filed an application before the Bombay High Court at Goa seeking action against the Goa government for failing to adhere to the three-month deadline given by the Court to notify the area around the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary as tiger reserve. The petitioner, Claude Alvares, Secretary of Goa Foundation has rightly stated in his petition that the Goa government has shown it's open disregard towards the High Court's directions/order by still not notifying the area around the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary as tiger reserve despite of filing an application and not getting any extension of time to the expiry of three months deadline. What message is the Goa government really trying to convey for the people of Goa by still defying the High Court's Order of July 24? I think that if the government is serious in protecting Goa's forests/ rivers in the state then it should immediately implement the July 24, 2023 High Court order without wasting any further time and officially notify the area around the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary as a tiger reserve to really protect/save wildlife in the true sense in Goa.
