We have heard and seen that while cutting onions it brings tears in our eyes but here when the festival season is near it is bringing tears in the common man's eyes. Yes the retailers are bringing the rates at high price as they know that this is a best time to loot public in the name of festivals and giving excuses of rainfall and spoilage due to some reason as the retailers are good at cheating the hard working farmers by buying the onions cheaply from them and selling at high price in markets. A big racket is going on every year. Our Goa government doesn't have any control on them because we have to buy all vegetable produce from the neighbouring States and they enjoy the profit from Goa as they know that Goa is a tourism state and a mini Gulf for many people. We are requesting our CM Pramod Sawant to look into this matter and solve the issue as soon as possible. Please protect the pockets of our Goan citizens from the long hands of the vegetable mafia.
